I've been dis...Melody - It makes perfect sense. I've been disappointed a few times with my second sampling of an author's work. I will probably read all of Somerset Maugham books because they are just such fun to read. With writing that good, I can overlook characters and plot lines that don't appeal to me. I love the way he puts sentences together and the way he uses language. I wish every book I read was that well written. I didn't love the characters so much, but the writing and the story were so much fun. I'm glad to hear that this is a good one to read next.
